Born in Concepción, Chile , in 1947
He studied Art at the University of Chile Fine Arts School .
Later, he had as teachers some Chilean Masters,
such as:
Marta Colvin,Rodolfo Opazo, Raúl Bustamente,
and Reinaldo Villaseņor among others.
The Fine Arts Society of Chile awarded him with a
Silver Medal.
He has also been awarded in three occasions with "Honorable Mentions" in Art Contests
organised by The Chilean -Palestinian Club.
There are paintings of Master Alvarez -Aravena in particular collections in Chile and
in others countries: Palestine, Jordan, China,the United States and Spain, among others.
