His main and almost only subject is the Nature, especially everything that a garden offers to us, its flowers and its green colors. The great master painter Sergio Montecinos wrote about him: "Oscar Anguita Costa is one of the painters
whom receives that first and unique message from the paternal ground. He arrives until its gardens and fields to paint them. He looks for the direct touch to imprison its enchantements. He sharpens the colors to emphasize the chromatic accent of the flowers. He draws up the subtle drawing of the stem of the roses and violets.
In love with the flowers, he discovers the delicate harmony of what it is extremely delicate already."
Dr. Antonio Fernandez V., Director of the Pinacoteca of the Universidad de Concepcion, adds: " Painting of Anguita Costa is unique. It welcomes that ephemeral and spontaneus freshness that a familiar garden offers to us.
Warm, deep, with old flavor. His paintings give to our eyes colors in amazing rates, own of the magic and unexpected encounter with the vegetal world he loves".
