Full name: Adriana Araya Schnake.
Intuitive and self-taught painter of a great chromatic
beauty and a high degree of fantasy.
She concerns specially for the texture and the color.
Her different technique is characterized by strong and
defined brush-strokes.
She always uses intense
colors of a great purity,
obtaining a very beautiful and harmonic result.
She inherited her artistic sensibility from her family.
At first, when she was a child, she assisted to classic and modern ballet lessons. Soon, she was writing poems at the same time that she was working with differents handcraft techniques.
In 1985 she attended for a short period a Workshop of Art at the
Fort Lauderdale Art Institute in the USA.
She also took lessons of vitreaux in Golden, Colorado, USA.
In 1978, she attended for two month the Studio of the great Master Painter Osvaldo Guayasamin, in Quito, Ecuador.
In Chile, she has studied most of the artcraft techniques.
She qualifies herself as an "artisan of the painting".
She has participated in several collective exhibitions,
among them:
The
"Ingenuous Painters National Contest"
organized by the
Fine Arts National Society at the
Alhambra Palace, Santiago, Chile,
where
she obtained "Expository Honorable Mention" in 1995.
Her paintings are oniric fantasies.The artist does not pretend to give any message, only a moment of beauty. In front of a white canvas, her painting is being born from her dreams ,her fantasies and her intuitive impulses
