Marco Antonio Ibarra Catalan ( Paté)
Born the 5th.,April, 1961, in Valparaíso, Chile.
Art Studies:
Fine Arts School of Valparaíso,
Fine Arts School of Viña del Mar, with Mentions
in Painting and Engraving. .
His painting is part of the neo-figurative expressionism. He seeks, through the formal study of the behavior of the painting technique as an autonomous language, to show the process of painting itself. Another concern in the construction of his visual speech referred to the expansion of this language to other traditional and contemporary visual languages as visual art, installations and three-dimensional constructions that question the static condition of the pictorial image and its support.
