Chilean Painter
He was born in 1888. Died in 1961.
He was one of the first chilean painters that took the typical chilean
rural landscape as his main subject. In most of his paintings
it appears the typical rural chilean hut and the big clay flowerpots.
At the botton there always be mountains, the sky with some clouds on
and a beautiful sunset.
He also painted portraits, seascapes and sea battles.
Ramos Catalan signed his artworks in three differents ways:
as Ramos C., as Ramos Catalan written with heavy traces and as
Ramos Catalan in a more light writing.
The reason for this it was the personal valoration that he
assigned to each of his paintings.
Nowadays, the most valuated are the ones signed as Ramos C.
