He is born in Valdivia, Chile.
He received his high school education in Chillán.
Later,he arrives to Santiago,
where he enters the Fine Arts School .
His Art Professors were three oustandings painters:
Pablo Burchard, Armando Lira
and Jorge Caballero.
At the beginning, his artwork was a very academic one .
Few years later,his painting begun to be influenced
for the impressionisms currents.
This is the time when he paints his famous
wet rainy streets with
its shades over the pavement,
and the rurals countrysides.
There is also a third period in his painting
Here, we find a tendency
to a more instintive expression,
... to a more free way of painting...
but of an enormeus and touching expressionist force.
Ulloa Burgos is a painter of a rich and wide thematic .
He didn't have an spetial subject
His artistic talent was so wide that
he could paint with the same skill
faces, human characters, flowers,
still life and all sort of sightseeings.
He uses strong contrasts of colors
(deep blues- alive and shinny yellows),
to create a very rich and harmonic atmosphere.
Ulloa Burgos was a very wellknown and outstnding painter.
He exhibits his artwork in almost all
the countries around the world.
He died in August, 1993, when he was 84 yeas old.
He dedicated his full life to
the Art of Painting the Beauty of Life .
